Elevate Games GOTY Information 2022

Here’s what to expect from our end-of-the-year content

By: Evan1Sonic. This is when you can read my top ten games of the year list and the GOTY Awards article that will be published, and what games will be eligible to be on the list.

As you might have noticed, our content output has slowed here at Elevate Games. I released a video, which is a first for me, explaining how it’s almost the end of the year and it’s time to finish games that I missed earlier this year. I don’t want to make my top ten games of the year list before giving as many games as I can a fair shot. I still have a few reviews that are coming soon and our end-of-the-year content, which I’m detailing here. Our content output will return to normal in mid-January. Now, let's lay the groundwork for our Game of the Year content!

What are our plans for Game of the Year content? Similar to last year, there will be two articles/lists. The first is named “Elevate Games’ 2022 GOTY Awards.” It will include a number of categories, with a winner in each highlighted. For example, one of the awards, “Most Anticipated 2023 Game,” will highlight my most anticipated game coming next year. This first written piece will be released in early to mid-December. The second list will be dubbed something along the lines of “The Best Games of 2022” or “The Top Ten Games of 2022.” This one will highlight my favorite games that were released this past year. The top ten games of 2021 list that I posted last year still holds our record for most views, and it's one of the most concise and personal pieces of writing I’ve made here at Elevate Games. Needless to say, I’m proud of the way that article turned out, and I hope I can take what worked well with it and carry it on to this year's post. I’m hoping to have my top-ten games of 2022 list published by late December or early January. We will also be recapping everything announced at The Game Awards this year.

What won't be considered for our Top 10 games of the year list? Any game released after December 1st, 2022, won’t be eligible for this year’s list. Remasters and PS5/Xbox Series X/S versions of already released games will not be considered for my list; however, there will be an award for the best remaster in our GOTY awards article. This will also be the same for DLC (downloadable content). Ports of games that aren’t remastered or new-gen upgrades will not be considered for either article. Everything else that was released this year is fair game to be on my top ten list.

That’s what you can expect from us for end-of-the-year recaps. Thanks as always for the support. Are you looking forward to this coverage coming soon? What do you think will be our game of the year? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading and Game On!!
