Resident Evil 4 Remake is a survival horror game from Capcom. The game is being developed to achieve “state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game.” According to Capcom's promotion producer, Edvin Edsö, “We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics, and updating the controls to a modern standard.” Relive the 2005 classic, Resident Evil 4, when the Resident Evil 4 remake comes to PS5, on March 24th, 2023. Also, some kind of PSVR2 content for the game is currently in development. 

Resident Evil Village, the survival horror game from Capcom, is coming to PSVR2. Take a virtual reality trip to the world of Resident Evil Village through Ethan's eyes. “In addition to the PS VR2 headset, you’ll use the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers to represent each hand in the world. Try guarding using both of your arms and Ethan will guard in the same way; hold up a gun and Ethan will hold up his. You are also now able to execute dynamic actions such as firing your gun while holding a knife with the other hand, or holding a handgun with one hand and a shotgun with the other. These advanced controllers increase the player’s immersion with the game.” Tsuyoshi Kanda said. Become Ethan Winters and take on this death-defying adventure when Resident Evil Village comes to PSVR2 soon.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners-Chapter 2: Retribution is an action-adventure RPG game from Skydance Interactive. A new campaign, new areas, new weapons and equipment, and all-new challenges will be included in Retribution. The addition of nighttime trips into the city is one of the most significant improvements to the original gameplay loop of the first title. Because you can more easily hide from walkers and use newly introduced flares to lead them away from where you want to go, stealth becomes far more important during these trips. Some goods are only discoverable during the hours of darkness, such as survival bags, providing you an incentive to undertake these runs. Brave the night and defeat any Walkers that stand in your way when The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution launches on PSVR in late 2022 and PSVR2 in 2023. 

No Man's Sky, the open-world survival game from Hello Games, is coming to PSVR2. While the game is available on current VR platforms, Sean Murray, Founder of Hello Games, says that “The power of PlayStation 5, coupled with the all-new PlayStation VR2 hardware, including the new Sense controllers, combine to take that sense of immersion and believability up by several major notches.” In comparison to the other VR versions, it appears that playing the game on PSVR2 will provide a significantly more immersive experience. Explore, build, and fight in a universe with an infinite number of planets when No Man's Sky comes to PSVR2 soon.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain is an action-adventure game from Firesprite and Guerrilla Games. In this game, you play as Ryas, a former Shadow Carja Warrior who seeks redemption by investigating a dangerous threat to the Sundom. Scale perilous mountains and take down mighty machines as you master various tools and weapons and craft additional gear. Call of the Mountain will also have a river ride experience that allows you to take in the breathtaking sights of the world around you while keeping machines off your raft. According to Sony, the game will "embrace a new level of immersion in a unique experience, designed to push hardware technology, innovation, and gameplay." Experience the world of Horizon in a new way through Ryas’ eyes when Horizon: Call of the Mountain launches on PSVR2 soon.

Horizon Forbidden West, the action RPG open-world game from Guerrilla Games, just got a big update. This update brings New Game+, Ultra Hard mode, and some quality-of-life features. Performance mode on the PS5 now also has Temporal Anti-Aliasing, which increases visual fidelity. This update is available now and you can play Horizon Forbidden West on PS4 and PS5 systems. 

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, the open-world action-adventure game from Insomniac Games, is coming to PC. This is one of my all-time favorite games, and I'm happy that more people will be able to play it on this new platform. Become Spider-Man and stop Mister Negative when Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered comes to PC on August 12th, 2022. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also come to PC this fall.

Stray is a cyberpunk adventure platformer game from BlueTwelve Studio. The stray cat that leads this title appears to be on a mission to assist the inhabitants of this world and, eventually, find a way home. Take on the role of a cute cat abandoned in a futuristic city populated by robots when Stray comes to PS4 and PS5 on July 19th, 2022. The game will also be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members at launch for no additional cost.

The Callisto Protocol is a sci-fi survival horror game from Striking Distance Studios. The game takes place in the year 2320 on Callisto, a moon of Jupiter. When a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos and turns people into horrible creatures, a man named Jacob Lee, an inmate at Black Iron Prison, must fight to survive. Defeat any Biophage in your way and uncover dark secrets as you attempt to escape this twisted prison when The Callisto Protocall comes to PS5 on December 2nd, 2022.

Rollerdrome is an action shooter game from Roll7. You're a participant in Rollerdrome, a violent new bloodsport. To make it to the end of each round, and eventually to the end of the championship, combine stylish skate tricks with deadly slow-mo kills. The game also has a similar art style as Sable and looks fantastic. Don’t stop moving as you dodge every attack and fight back when Rollerdrome comes to PS4 and PS5 on August 16th, 2022.

Eternights is an action-RPG dating-simulation game from Studio Sai. Scavenge for supplies, explore dungeons, go on dates, and more during an apocalypse that turned humans into dangerous monsters. When you're not exploring dungeons, you can spend your time getting to know a cast of five odd and lovable individuals. As you learn more about each of them, you'll gain access to new skills and spells that you may utilize in battle. It is entirely up to you what you accomplish each day, but it is essential that you manage your time effectively. Attempt to find a cure for the monsters that plague the world as you get to know your crew and explore dungeons when Eternights launches on PS4 and PS5 in early 2023. 

Street Fighter VI is a fighting game from Capcom. We learned a lot about Street Fighter VI during its most recent showing. In this installment of the series, Ryu (now completely bearded and exceptionally wide) and Chun-Li (who has a mostly new look) will return. Luke (who made his debut in the final piece of downloadable content for Street Fighter V) and Jamie, a brand-new fighter, will also join the roster. In addition to the updated roster, Capcom showed a bit of what appears to be a free-roaming 3D component of the game. Capcom confirmed three modes for Street Fighter VI: Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series; World Tour, “an immersive single-player story experience”; and Battle Hub, which sounds like a social area for player communication. This could be the 3D component of the title. In a separate video, Capcom also revealed that the game will include real-time in-game commentary recorded by "well-known talent from the fighting game community." This separate video included English commentary from Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez and Japanese commentary from Aru. Become the best fighter in the world when Street Fighter VI launches on PS4 and PS5 in 2023. 

Tunic, the action-adventure game from Andrew Shouldice, is coming to PlayStation platforms. This title, which is inspired by The Legend of Zelda among other games, has you take on the role of a cute little fox on a big adventure. Explore a land filled with long-lost secrets, ancient powers, and ferocious monsters when Tunic comes to PS4 and PS5 on September 27th, 2022.

Season: A Letter to the Future is an adventure game from Scavengers Studio. Season: A Letter to the Future has you exploring, documenting, meeting people, and attempting to find out what's going on in the strange world around you. You can get off your bike at any time and use a tool from your bag. Each one captures a different layer: sound and music; art and architecture; elderly people's voices; and the relics of bygone seasons. Your tools will assist you in peeling back these layers until you can grasp the culture, history, and nature that lie behind it all. It's just as important to spend time with people as it is to capture the environment around you. You get to assist them in quiet crisis situations and talk to them about the world around you both. Everything comes together in your journal, where you piece together the bits and pieces you've learned into a complete picture. Through your journal, build an expression of your perspective on what you’ve seen and done on your trip when Season: A Letter to the Future launches on PS4 and PS5 this fall. 

Final Fantasy XVI is an action-adventure RPG game from Square Enix. The game features real-time combat that appears to involve battles against giant summons from the series, such as Bahamut and Ifrit. Final Fantasy XVI is set in the fantasy realm of Valisthea, where the Mothercrystals, a series of shimmering magical mountains, ensure prosperity. The Eikons are deadly monsters that can be controlled by super soldiers known as "Dominants." Clive and Joshua Rosfield, the game's main characters, are brothers from a noble family of Dominants. Another character, Jill Warrick, was adopted by their family in an attempt to settle the war between warring nations. The story sounds intriguing, and the gameplay looks to be just as good. Help your nation in the war raging around you as Clive Rosfield when Final Fantasy XVI launches on PS5 in summer 2023. 

This event was incredible and provided a great look at what games are coming to Sony's platforms in the near future. My favorite game shown at this event was Final Fantasy XVI. I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, and this new entry in the series looks wonderful. You can watch the full event here.
