Everything Shown at the Xbox Developer Direct

January 2023 Xbox and Bethesda Developer Direct Recap

By: Evan1Sonic. From Minecraft Legends to Redfall, here is a recap of everything shown at Xbox and Bethesda’s first Developer Direct. All of the games listed here will be included at no additional cost on Game Pass when they release. Now on with the games!

Minecraft Legends is an action-strategy game from Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive. A new entry in the Minecraft franchise, this spinoff aims to provide a fun strategy experience for fans of the classic cube-filled game. A PVP multiplayer mode was showcased at this event. This mode, which features crossplay and online matchmaking, will have you invading the opposing team’s camps for victory. Thanks to procedural generation, each and every time you play this mode, it’ll be different. Build, attack, and forage in a familiar cube world when Minecraft Legends launches for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on April 18th, 2023.

Forza Motorsport is a racing game from Turn 10 Studios. This latest installment in the Motorsport series appears to be the largest yet. In terms of numbers, the game will have over five hundred cars to collect, one hundred of which are new to Motorsport, eight-hundred upgrades, and twenty environments to race in. The title looks and sounds beautiful, with the developers making good use of the power of new-generation hardware. Be the first to speed past the finish line when Forza Motorsport launches on Xbox Series X/S and PC later this year.

Hi-fi Rush is a rhythm action game from Tango Gameworks. Everything in this title syncs with the beat, from enemy attacks to cutscenes. The more you flow with this beat, the more spectatorial the combat will be. Both licensed and original songs are featured, and all of them are synced to their own levels. Play as Chai, a wannabe rockstar, and attempt to stop a diabolical corporation when Hi-fi Rush launches later today on Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is the next expansion coming to the MMO/RPG game from ZeniMax Online Studios. This new expansion will bring a new playable class, two zones, and new story content to the game. If you were thinking about hopping into the world of The Elder Scrolls Online before this new update, then you are in luck. All previous chapters and over twenty pieces of DLC for the game are now free for a limited time. Adventure in Eastern Morrowind when The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom launches for PC on June 5th, 2023, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on June 20th, 2023.

Redfall is an open-world FPS game from Arkane Austin. In this title, find side missions at home bases, reclaim vampire-overrun turf, and face tough bosses. You’ll also investigate otherworldly disturbances, such as vampire nests, throughout the game. Of course, a shooter is not a shooter without lots of weapons to choose from. Everything from a shotgun to a stake launcher is available to use in this title. Destroy vampires solo or with up to four friends in co-op when Redfall launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 2nd, 2023.

This event was short and sweet and provided a nice look at what games are coming to Microsoft’s platforms this year. My favorite game shown at this event was Redfall. I love FPS titles, and this one from Arkane Austin is shaping up to be the next big release in the genre. What was your favorite game of the event? Let me know in the comments below. You can watch the full event here.

I hope you enjoyed and Game On!!
