Sunday Scoops 03/12/23

It’s Sunday, and that means it's time to talk about all the gaming news this week

By: Evan1Sonic. This week has been a big one for news, with a new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi game being revealed, Redfall crossplay confirmed, a few delays, and more.

Hogwarts Legacy’s last-gen versions have been delayed yet again. Hogwarts Legacy, the action-RPG game from Avalanche Software, came out earlier this year, but some players already waiting to play will have to wait even longer. Both the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the title will now launch on May 5th, 2023. The Nintendo Switch version of the game, on the other hand, is still set to release on July 25th, 2023. This delay was announced alongside a message from the developers that stated they need more time in order to provide a good experience for players. “The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms, and we need more time to do this.” PS4 and Xbox One gamers will be able to become witches or wizards and explore Hogwarts soon; it’ll just take a bit more time than expected.

News from the latest Capcom Spotlight. The Capcom Spotlight event that aired on March 9th featured about half a dozen titles coming from Capcom in the near future. Some of those games include Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Ghost Trick Phantom Detective, and Street Fighter 6. Some other highlights were Exoprimal locking in a July 14th, 2023 release date and revealing that the game is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, as well as a tease of the CG Resident Evil movie, Death Island, that's coming this summer. To round out the event, a new Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer was premiered along with an announcement for the game's demo, which is out now. This short and sweet event provided a fine look at what to expect from Capcom in the near future, and you can watch the full event here.
