The First Trailer for The Mario Movie was Released

The First Trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie has Been Released

By: Evan1Sonic. Nintendo has released the first trailer for their Super Mario Bros. Movie, which is an adaptation of the hit video game series of the same name.

This teaser provides a little over two minutes of footage that gives solid glimpses into the upcoming movie. It begins with King Koopa (Jack Black) and his Koopa Army raiding the blue penguin's (from Mario 64) igloo castle. Mario (Chris Pratt) also makes an appearance, and well, he sounds very similar to Chris Pratt. You can watch the trailer yourself below.

This film is led by Shigeru Miyamoto and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri. Animation has almost wrapped up on the movie, then it's off to lighting. Miyamoto concurred with Chris Meledandri's statement that "We're excited to share even more footage in the coming months." Charles Martinet, who voices Mario in the games, will also appear in the movie in some capacity.
