It’s Sunday, and that means it's time to talk about all the gaming news this week

By: Evan1Sonic. This week has been a steady week of news, with a sweep of announcements from Gamescom, more details about the Horizon show, and more.

News From The Destiny 2 Showcase. The Destiny 2 Showcase 2022 event that aired on August 23rd revealed what's coming to Destiny 2 over the next year. Some of these additions include the reveal of Season of Plunder and a new trailer for the next expansion, Lightfall. The Season of Plunder, which is available now, brings six new Exotics, the King’s Fall Reprised Raid (on August 26th), and more to the game. Fortnite and Fall Guys now have Destiny 2 content thanks to a partnership with Epic Games, and Destiny 2 now has Fortnite-themed ornaments. Players in Lightfall will face a new foe, Calus, a cunning former emperor of the Cabal. The Guardians will visit a brand-new location, the glistening megacity of Neomuna on Neptune, and use the powers provided by the brand-new subclass Strand to face any foe in their path. Destiny 2 Lightfall launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia on February 28th, 2023. Destiny 2 and its expansions are also now available on the Epic Games Store. News From Gamescom Opening Night Live. The Gamescom Opening Night Live event that aired on August 23rd featured lots of titles coming soon. Some of these games include Dune Awakening, Moving Out 2, Dead Island 2, and Lies of P. Some other highlights were the reveal of the DualSense Edge, Goat Simulator 3 gameplay, and Gotham Knights coming a few days earlier in October. Nobody Saves the World’s new DLC, Frozen Hearth, launches on September 13th, 2022.
