Sunday Scoops 09/18/22

It’s Sunday, and that means it's time to talk about all the gaming news this week

By: Evan1Sonic. This week has been a huge week of news, with news from the recent PlayStation State of Play and Nintendo Direct, Deathloop revealed to be coming to Xbox Consoles, Sims 4 going free to play, and more.

News From the PlayStation State of Play. The PlayStation State of Play event that aired on September 13th featured about ten titles coming soon to PlayStation consoles. Some of these games include Tekken 8, Demeo, and Like a Dragon: Ishin. Some other highlights were Project Eve's name being revealed to be Stellar Blade, Hogwarts Legacy getting a PlayStation-exclusive quest, and more details about PlayStation Stars being revealed. To round out the show, we got a new trailer for God of War Ragnarök, which releases on November 9th, that you can watch here. News From the Nintendo Direct. The Nintendo Direct event that aired on September 13th featured a lot of games coming to the Nintendo Switch system. Some of these games include Fire Emblem Engage, Octopath Traveler 2, Various Daylife, and Pikmin 4. Some other highlights were Sifu being announced to come to Switch on November 8th, 2022; new N64 games coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, including Goldeneye 007; and Nintendo Switch Sports’ golf update being delayed to this holiday. To round out the show, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2’s subtitle was revealed: Tears of the Kingdom. Its new release date of May 12th, 2023, was also announced.
