The Last Sunday Scoops of 2022

It’s Sunday, and that means it's time to talk about all the gaming news this week

By: Evan1Sonic. This week has been a steady week of news, with a new Horizon game being announced, Kentucky Route Zero and Twelve Minutes both coming to mobile, and more.

A multiplayer Horizon game has been announced. A new multiplayer game in the Horizon franchise was revealed earlier this week in a job listing sheet from Guerrilla Games. The developer is hiring in Amsterdam for single-player, online, and outside project teams, according to the job posting. "A new internal team is developing a separate online project set in Horizon's universe," Guerrilla Games said. "Featuring a new cast of characters and a unique stylized look, friends will be able to explore the majestic wilds of Horizon together." No official name or release window were stated for the project, but the mere prospect of a multiplayer Horizon title alone is exciting. This isn’t the only Horizon game on the way, as the VR title Horizon Call of the Mountain is releasing next year, as well as Horizon Forbidden West’s new DLC, Burning Shores.

Hogwarts Legacy’s last-gen and Switch versions have been delayed. Hogwarts Legacy, the action-RPG game from Avalanche Software, is releasing next year, but some players will have to wait a bit longer to play it. The game’s current release date of February 10th, 2023, is still correct when discussing the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions of the game. The PS4 and Xbox One renditions won’t release then, however. Both will be launched on April 4th, 2023. Finally, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will release on July 25th, 2023. This delay for some renditions of Hogwarts Legacy was revealed along with a message from the developers. “The team is looking forward to bringing you the game and we want to deliver the best possible game experience across all platforms.” While you might have to wait a bit longer to do so, you can become the witch or wizard you want to be when this title launches next year.
