Everything Shown at The Resident Evil Showcase In Oct.

October 2022, Resident Evil Showcase Recap

By: Evan1Sonic. From Resident Evil Village Gold Edition to Resident Evil 4 Remake, here is a recap of everything announced at the Resident Evil Showcase in October.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, the survival horror game from Capcom, is getting a Winter expansion. Mercenaries: Additional Orders, new story DLC, and other additions will be included in this expansion. Players can take on the roles of Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, Chris Redfield, and Karl Heisenberg in the new Mercenaries mode. The highlight of this expansion, however, is the Shadows of Rose story DLC. The narrative of this DLC will center on Rose and will be a continuation of the main campaign. From a third-person perspective, you’ll play as Rose as she enters the "consciousness of the Megamycete," a place where "time and space are warped beyond recognition." When this DLC becomes available, you'll also be able to complete the original game in third person. Play as Rose in the new story DLC, multiple characters in Mercenaries, or Ethan in the main game when Resident Evil Village Gold Edition launches on October 28th, 2022. The base game will also be released on Mac on the same day, with the expansion following at a later date.

Resident Evil Re:Verse is an action shooter game from Capcom. Familiar faces from the Resident Evil universe face off against each other in this multiplayer title. Capcom confirmed that crossplay will be supported, and more than once they stated that they have plans to update this game post-launch. From the roadmap, new characters, costumes, and a battle pass will all come to the game after its release later this month. An early access period will begin starting October 24th for all Village owners, and the full game will be free for owners of Village or its Gold Edition when it releases. Fight other players as anyone from Chris Redfield to Leon Kennedy when Resident Evil Re:Verse launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th, 2022.

Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 are coming to the Switch. All three of these survival-horror games are making their way to Nintendo's console as Cloud versions. Each will have its own demo, which will allow anyone to test how well the game will run over their internet connection. Resident Evil 2 releases on November 11th, 2022, with Resident Evil 3 following on November 18th, 2022. Lastly, Resident Evil launches on December 16th, 2022.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a survival horror game from Capcom. In the new trailer for this title, which aired at this event, we got to see more smooth-looking gameplay. The game is being developed to achieve “state-of-the-art quality for a survival horror suitable for 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game.” According to Capcom's promotion producer, Edvin Edsö, “We aim to make the game feel familiar to fans of the series, while also providing a fresh feeling to it. This is being done by reimagining the storyline of the game while keeping the essence of its direction, modernizing the graphics, and updating the controls to a modern standard.” Relive the 2005 classic, Resident Evil 4, when the Resident Evil 4 remake launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 24th, 2023.

You can watch the full event here. This event was about average and provided a nice look at the Resident Evil games that are coming in the near future. My favorite game shown at this event was Resident Evil 4 Remake. I have yet to play Resident Evil 4, and this remake looks like it’ll be the perfect way to play the horror title. What was your favorite game shown at this event? Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed and Game On!!
